  • Yes, our flooring is suitable for use with hydronic underfloor heating. Please refer to our installation guidelines for the process to be followed when turning the heating on for the first time.

  • As electric underfloor/undertile heating provides instantaneous heat to the floor, we do not recommend it is used with our flooring.

  • Yes. Under the E3/AS1 part of the building code, all timber flooring now requires an Alternative Solution in these areas. We can provide the paperwork to assist with this.

  • Yes, our flooring is FSC certified. For more information, you can read about it here.

  • Yes absolutely. The boards are all tongue and groove on all 4 sides making for easy installation. With a bit of planning, it doesn’t need to be a difficult process. Please see our Installation Guidelines in the Technical section of our website.

  • No we are supply only. Installation can be done either by professional timber floor layers, carpenters or even a competent DIYer. We can point you in the right direction.

  • This varies a lot – they would charge between $70/m2 and $110/m2 + GST. A carpenter/builder will be cheaper as they generally charge on a time and materials basis – this could equate to between $50/m2 and $70/m2.

  • Yes. It makes a great finish for staircases and there are a couple of ways they can be used – floating box treads or normal tread/riser/nosing. Take a look at our technical section for more information.

  • The same as would maintain most hard floors – regular moist microfibre mop with warm water, ensuring no excess water is left on the surface. Every other year, it can’t hurt to apply a maintenance product such as Bona but this is not essential.

  • Yes, there will be fade, particularly in the first 6 months and if the flooring is adjacent to full height doors/windows and exposed to a lot of UV. The boards are coated with a 9 coat Treffert UV lacquer system to help minimise this but nothing can beat the sun. Fade is more obvious with the darker boards.
