Responsibly Sourced Engineered Timber
Summit Flooring’s engineered flooring uses FSC-certified timber. FSC certification supports responsible forest management, including the protection of biodiversity and consideration of the environmental, social and economic impacts of timber production.
Our difference.
Real Timber Wear Layer
Our Oak boards have a 4 mm European Oak wear layer, while Dusky Ash has a 3 mm European Ash wear layer. This provides the appearance and character of genuine timber, with the potential for professional sanding and refinishing in the future depending on the floor’s condition and remaining wear-layer thickness.
Strength and Durability
The real timber wear layer is supported by an 11 mm multi-layer plywood core, providing greater dimensional stability and reducing natural expansion and contraction compared with solid timber flooring. A nine-coat UV-cured lacquer system provides a durable prefinished surface for everyday residential use.
Pre-finished and Ready to Install
Each board arrives with its nine-coat UV-cured lacquer system already applied, so no sanding, staining or sealing is required after installation. This provides a consistent factory finish while reducing time, mess and disruption on site.
Easy to Install
Tongue-and-groove joints on all four sides help the boards fit together accurately during installation. The flooring is designed to be directly bonded to a properly prepared concrete or timber substrate in accordance with Summit Flooring’s Installation Guidelines. Boards arrive boxed and ready for installation.
